RMISA Announces Regular-Season MVPs

DENVER—MVP's are determined by total regular-season points scored.

Men's Alpine MVP

Joachim Lien, Utah

Lien led the league with five race wins (four in the slalom). He also had a league-high six podium finishes. Lien also won the giant slalom at the RMISA Championships.

Women's Alpine MVP

Mikaela Tommy, Colorado

Tommy won four of five giant slalom races during the regular season. She led the league with eight podium finishes and had just two DNF's. Tommy, who was also the RMISA Champion in the GS, has eight career victories, all in the giant slalom, and is a two-time All-American.

Men's Nordic MVP

Sigurd Roenning, Alaska-Anchorage

Roenning won the freestyle race at the Utah Invitational. He tied for the league lead with five podium finishes during the year and was the only skier in the league to finish in the top 10 in every race. Roenning earned All-America honors as a freshman last year in the classic race.

Women's Nordic MVP

Guro Jordheim, Utah

Jordheim won five of eight races during the regular season. She finished on the podium in all but one race and didn't finish lower than fourth all year. She was also the RMISA MVP in 2018. Jordheim is a six-time All-American and has 17 career victories.
