DENVER— The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association has announced adjustments to the opening alpine weekend of the 2026 season.

The men’s and women’s giant slalom races originally scheduled for Jan. 12–13 at Eldora Mountain Resort will now be contested Jan. 14–15 at Aspen Highlands. The slalom races at Loveland Ski Area have been moved up two days and will be held Jan. 12–13.

The schedule change preserves the full slate of opening alpine events while shifting venues and dates for optimal race conditions. The Nordic portions of the Denver and Colorado invitationals remain as scheduled in February, and RMISA Nordic competition will begin earlier in January at the U.S. Cross Country National Championships.
