RMISA Skiers to Compete at Nordic Junior World/U23 Ski Championships

MIDWAY, Utah—Several RMISA skiers are scheduled to compete at the FIS Nordic Junior World Championships and U23 Cross Country World Championships, held at Soldier Hollow Resort in Midway, Utah, from Jan. 30-Feb. 5.

Colorado's Jesse Knori - U.S. (U23)
Has a pair of top-10 finishes this season with a season-best sixth-place finish in the 15-km classic at the Montana State Invitational. She finished 21st in both the 10-km freestyle and 20-km classic at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championships. She was a 2016 All-American in the 15-km classic.

Colorado's Petra Hyncicova - Czech Republic (U23)
Won three of the four collegiate races held this year along with a second-place finish. She placed ninth in the 10-km freestyle at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championships. Last year her best finish at the 2016 U23 World Championships was 21st in the 10-km freestyle. A two-time All-American, she finished second in the 5-km freestyle at the 2016 NCAA Championships.

Alaska Fairbanks Nichole Bathe - U.S. (U23)
Finished in the top 10 in all four races this year with a season-best sixth-place finish in the classic sprint at the Utah Invitational. She finished 16th in the classic sprints and 19th in the 20-km classic at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championship. She is a two-time All-American, earning classic honors in 2014 and 2016.

Denver's Taeler McCrerey - U.S. (Junior)
Has finished in the top five twice this season with three top-10 finishes. Season-best fourth-place finish in the 15-km classic at Montana State. Placed second in the classic sprints, 11th in the 7.5-km classic and 16th in the 10-km freestyle at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championships. 2016 All-American in the freestyle.

Alaska Anchorage's Hailey Swirbul - U.S. (Junior)
Season-best seventh-place finish in the 10-km freestyle at the Utah Invitational. She finished second in the 7.5-km classic and third in the classic sprints at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championships.

Alaska Anchorage's Natalie Hynes - Canada (Junior)
Season-best 14th-place finish in the 15-km classic at the Montana State Invitational. She was fourth in the 7.5-km classic at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championships and placed seventh in the 10-km freestyle and eighth in the 5-km classic at the 2016 Canada Cross Country National Championships. A freshman at UAA, she also competed at the FIS Junior World Championships in 2016.

Alaska Anchorage's Casey Wright - Australia (U23)
Season-best finish fourth in the classic sprint at the Utah Invitational. Competed at the 2016 NCAA Championships, 2013 and 2014 Junior World Championships and the 2015 World Championships.

Utah's Logan Diekmann - U.S. (Junior)
Season-best finish 17th in the sprint classic at the Utah Invitational. Finished fifth in the junior classic sprint and 12th in the junior men's 10-km at the 2017 U.S. Cross Country Championships.
